I think this EDZ merino wool base layer zip neck top is good value for merino wool. It’s reasonably thick at 200gsm so pretty warm. It’s great for hiking in and could easily be used everyday too. I like merino wool clothing because it controls my body temperature really well, I don’t feel sweaty and it keeps me warm when it’s wet. It also doesn’t smell so it’s ideal for long distance wild camping trips, when it cannot be washed.
Description
I think this EDZ merino wool base layer zip neck top is good value for merino wool. It’s reasonably thick at 200gsm so pretty warm and it’s great for hiking in or wearing everyday. I wear it most of the year, but I find it too warm as a base layer in really warm weather. However I have used it as a mid layer in summer and found that it works really well with a thin base layer under it in mid winter.
I like merino wool clothing because it controls my body temperature really well and I never feel sweaty. It doesn’t smell so it’s ideal for long distance wild camping trips, when it cannot be washed. Merino wool clothing feels a lot nicer against the skin than synthetics too and feels warmer when soaked through. Ideal for my Lejog and Dover to Cape Wrath wild camping trips.
