Life after walking Lands End to John O’Groats

It’s nice to be home even though it’s raining.

We can’t always be in the mountains photographing amazing views to blog. So hopefully this one doesn’t upset anyone that’s got to work today, wishing they were in the mountains.

I’ve been back for over 2 months now, and I still feel great. I’ve still got a real sense of achievement. And I feel fitter and happier than I have in years. So it seems LEJOG is a good cure for a mid life crisis…..

My kids have just given me a book on walking the 2650 mile long Pacific Crest Trail for my birthday. At the minute I don’t feel I need another long distance walk but it’s great reading about them, knowing it’s possible.

Every day I still get a kick out of looking at the UK map, knowing I’ve walked from one end to the other….

Read my reflections on walking Lands End to John O’Groats + 3 peaks challenge and final thoughts here.
